Notify us of your claim
Tell us about your claim as soon as possible. You can report your claim 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by either:
Don’t forget! When you've had an accident, you'll need to obtain the full name, address and registration number of any other parties involved to make a claim. If possible, also get their telephone and licence number.
Assessing the claim
Following an insured event, if your car is not driveable we will arrange for your vehicle to be towed to the nearest safe place and then to your approved repairer.
If your car is driveable, we will arrange a convenient time for you to take your car to an approved repairer. They will then provide us with a quote to repair the damage.
Our settlement of the claim
We will at our discretion, and subject to your policy terms and conditions (including any applicable excess/es), then decide whether to:
- repair your car
- pay you the reasonable cost of repairing your car
- replace your car
- pay you up to the agreed or market value or other applicable limits
If we decide to repair your car, we will repair it to a condition that is equivalent to its condition immediately before the insured event.
If an excess or other contribution applies to your claim, it can be paid directly to the repairer. You can use one of our appointed repairers, or choose your own repairer if we have approved it. We guarantee all repairs undertaken by a repairer who has been appointed by us, for as long as you own the car.
Once we have accepted your claim, we will take care of any settlements for damage to other parties up to the policy limits, or recover any losses from third parties, in accordance with the policy terms and conditions.
