We understand that it can be very stressful if you need to make a claim. Our helpful claims team will be there to assist you when you most need it and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
The claims process can be summarised as follows:
Notify us of your claim
Tell us about your claim as soon as possible. You can report your claim 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling our Claims team on 1300 10 1234. We will take all the details from you and provide you with a claim number.
Alternatively, you can also download our claim form. The completed claim form should be returned to Woolworths Car Insurance Claims via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 02 8889 9511 as soon as possible.
Don’t forget to obtain the full name, address and registration number of any other parties involved, and if possible the telephone and licence number of the other Driver.
Assessing the claim
If, following an insured event, your car is not driveable we will arrange for your vehicle to be towed to the nearest place of safety and ultimately to the approved repairer.
If your car is driveable; you take your car to the approved repairer.
The approved repairer will quote the damage.
Our settlement of the claim
We will at our discretion, and subject to your policy terms and conditions (including any applicable excess(es)) then decide whether to:
- repair your car;
- pay you the reasonable cost of repairing your Car;
- replace your Car; or
- pay you up to the Agreed or Market value or other applicable limits.
Where we decide to repair your car we will repair it to a condition that is equivalent to its condition immediately before the insured event.
You can pick up your car when repairs are complete. It an excess or other contribution applies to your claim, it can be paid directly to the repairer. We guarantee repairs undertaken by a repairer who has been appointed or approved by us.
If we have accepted your claim, we will take care of any settlements for damage to other parties up to the policy limits, or recover any losses from third parties, in accordance with the policy terms and conditions.
