Woolworths Funeral Insurance provides cover from $3,000 up to $15,000.
The benefit provides a lump sum cash payment which is designed to assist with the cost of your funeral and other expenses, however, the benefit may be used as you (or your nominated beneficiary) see fit. Please note, the insurance does not provide any funeral, burial or cremation services. Cover is for Accidental Death only in the first 12 months, then death by any cause thereafter.
Who can apply for Funeral Insurance? If you (or your partner) are an Australian resident and aged between 18 and 79 you are eligible for Woolworths Funeral Insurance.
Terminal Illness - After the first 12 months, you will receive your selected Benefit Amount if you are diagnosed with a Terminal Illness to help ease your financial burden.
Accidental Serious Injury - We understand that accidents can happen, that’s why you will receive triple the Benefit Amount if you suffer an Accidental Serious Injury within 12 months of an accident, at no additional cost.
Accidental Death - If your death is the result of an Accident your nominated beneficiaries receive triple the Benefit Amount to help protect the ones you love most.
Optional Children's Insurance - Children’s Insurance is available to provide cover if your child was unfortunate enough to suffer a serious injury or illness. The lump sum benefit is also paid in the event of Accidental Death from the first day of cover and death by any cause after 12 months.
