Your Health and Wellbeing during COVID-19

It’s always important to look after our health and wellbeing, but more so during this time. We’ve put together some useful tips to help you.

 

VetAssist

We understand it can be hard at times to get to the Vet, especially during times of social distancing. Woolworths Pet Insurance customers now have exclusive access to VetAssist allowing them to connect to licenced Australian Vets online. Personalised consultations are available 24/7.

 

Life Insurance

The last thing we want you to worry about is what your Life Insurance policy covers you for. We want to reassure you that none of our Life Insurance products have a specific exclusion for a pandemic, such as COVID-19.

We also wanted to share with you that we support the Financial Services Council commitment to ensure that frontline healthcare workers are not prevented from obtaining life insurance cover purely through exposure, or potential exposure, to COVID-19.

For new customers and increases to existing cover

Our Woolworths Life Insurance product does not contain exclusions for epidemics and pandemics, such as COVID-19. This means if you are an existing life insurance customer, you are still covered regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19. 

If you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or currently have symptoms of COVID-19 and are seeking medical advice or consultation with a doctor or other health professional, we will not be able to offer you cover until you have fully recovered and medically cleared to not have COVID-19. You can contact our Life Insurance team on 1300 10 1234 to talk through how we may be able to assist you.

Existing customers

Our Woolworths Life Insurance product does not contain exclusions for epidemics and pandemics, such as COVID-19. This means if you are an existing life insurance customer, you are still covered regardless of whether or not you have COVID-19.

All claims will continue to be assessed in accordance with terms and conditions of the policy. Please note that eligibility criteria and other limitations may apply and we encourage you to read the Product Disclosure Statement.

Woolworths Insurance

The Federal and State Government has announced closures of non-essential services as of 23 March 2020 in response to COVID-19. Whilst there may be some disruptions to services during this time, we’re committed and prepared to the continued service to our customers.

Pet Insurance

As a Pet Insurance customer find out what you’re covered for, manage your policy, and make and track claims easily in MyPet Portal.

Whilst our Pet Insurance contact centre is unable to take calls at the moment, you can still;.

Unfortunately, our Pet Insurance Contact Centre is temporarily unable to receive any calls. You are still able to easily make claims online, view and update payment details, and view what you are covered for via MyPet Portal

Travel Insurance

In light of the global impact of Coronavirus and the recent travel advisories issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) on 13 March 2020, Woolworths Insurance have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend the sale of travel insurance to new customers as of 16 March 2020. 

For customers who already hold a travel insurance policy with us: there is no change and you can contact us to make a claim or amend your policy. Please be aware, our phone lines are exceptionally busy at the moment and we’re doing all we can to speak to our customers as quickly as we can.

  • View your policy details and download your Certificate of Insurance to see what you are covered for
  • Change your payment method and resubmit payments

  • Add or update your Woolworths Rewards number and change your marketing preferences
  • Find and link any existing policies

As a car insurance customer, you can use My Insurance Portal to:

  • Update your insured address
  • Add more kilometres to your policy if you hold a Woolworths Drive Less, Pay Less policy
