If your Vet Clinic is a participating GapOnlyTM Clinic, then your Vet should be able to submit the claim for you on the spot while you are at the Vet. Once your claim has been assessed, and if approved, you only need to pay the gap (the difference between the Vet’s invoice and the eligible claim benefit under your policy). Alternatively, your Vet may be able to submit an electronic pet insurance claim on your behalf (sometimes referred to as an eClaim). We will still communicate with you regarding the status of your claim and you will still need to pay for the Vet expenses upfront. For more information about how claims are handled, please refer to the Claims section of your Product Disclosure Statement.
