How do I make a Car Insurance claim?

You can lodge your Car Insurance claim quickly and easily via your My Insurance Portal account. Login now to start your claim.

To lodge a claim, you'll need the full name, address and registration number of any other parties involved, as well as the telephone and licence number of the other driver if possible.

What does my Car Insurance Policy cover?

A summary of what you are covered for is in our Benefits and Comparison table. You can also read through the terms, conditions and exclusions outlined in the Car Insurance Product Disclosure Statement.

You will also find the details of your individual cover in your Certificate of Insurance, which you can view and download in My Insurance Portal or by contacting us on 1300 10 1234 and we’ll email or post a copy to you.

How do I get cover for my car breakdowns?

Roadside Assist is available as an optional extra on all our policies. Refer to your Certificate of Insurance to see if you are covered for this extra.

You can add Roadside Assist service when you take out a new Everyday Car Insurance policy, or purchase it on it's own if you already have an existing policy.


How do I update or change my Car policy details?

You can manage your Car Insurance policy via My Insurance Portal.

From your account, you will be able to:

  • Update your email address and phone number
  • Update your credit or debit card details
  • Access your Certificate of Insurance
  • Increase your Odometer end reading (for Drive Less Pay Less)
  • Login
    Register now

If you need to make other changes to your policy, such as updating your physical address, you can contact us on 1300 10 1234  during our operating hours. Note that if your policy is pending renewal, online changes might be restricted.


How do I renew my Car Insurance policy?

If we offer renewal, the policy will automatically renew as per the renewal notice. We will send you this renewal notice at least 14 days before your renewal date which will outline what you need to do to stay covered. You should check your renewal notice carefully and contact us on 1300 10 1234 if you need to make any changes to your policy or details, or if you'd like to opt out of automatic renewal.

With automatic renewal, your renewal notice will set out the proposed new policy terms and premium. If no changes are required to your policy and your premium payments are up to date, you don’t need to do anything – your policy will automatically renew.

If you opted out of automatic renewal, your renewal notice will advise you to call to continue your cover. We will provide you with a quote and policy terms. If you’re happy to proceed, we will renew your policy.

How do I add someone to my policy?

You can chat with us to add another policy holder, an authorised contact or another driver during our chat operating hours.

Savings between $0 to $282 derived from premium comparisons between Everyday Comprehensive car cover option and Drive Less Pay Less option. Calculations based on profiles of existing Everyday Car insurance customers who advised they drive under 15,000 km annually. Current as at 30 June 2022. Actual savings are determined by your individual circumstances, including the kilometres selected, excess chosen and other risk factors. Minimum premiums may reduce savings. Kilometres can be increased during the policy period, an additional premium is payable. In event of accident and end odometer reading exceeded, additional excess applied.
